TELC A2 Exam Format: Schreiben

Schreiben contains two parts and is worth 15 points. In the official mock examination, the first task asks candidates to transfer information into a form. The second requires a short email responding to a practical situation. The email carries more points, so it should never be sacrificed because reading consumed the entire shared block.

Content: answer every required point with one or two clear sentences.

It is normally conducted with two candidates and has no preparation time. Do not memorise one long speech

TELC A2 Exam Format: Scoring and Passing Rules

Each skill contributes 15 points, producing 60 points in total. According to the official mock examination, candidates must achieve 60% of the maximum score, equal to 36 points, to pass.

The TELC A2 Exam Format is not modular. TELC states that it cannot be taken as a partial examination. If the examination is not passed, the complete written and oral examination must be taken again; partial results are not carried forward. Candidates can generally repeat it as often as necessary.
