I am currently doing my German language course and Ausbildung programme with German Studio, and my overall experience has been really good. Along with language training, the team has also supported me throughout my Ausbildung process, especially with interview preparation. Before my Ausbildung interview, I was a little nervous about how to answer the questions and present myself confidently. The team helped me prepare through mock interviews, explained the types of questions I could expect, and guided me on how to give clear and confident answers in German. They also corrected my mistakes and gave me useful feedback after every practice session. This preparation really helped me improve my confidence and feel much more comfortable during the actual interview. I am thankful to the German Studio team for their continuous support and guidance. I would definitely recommend German Studio to anyone planning to learn German and pursue an Ausbildung in Germany.Posted on Google

TestAS (Test for Academic Studies) is a central, standardised aptitude test for international students who want to study at a German university. It measures the cognitive and subject-related skills that matter most for success in higher education.
Rather than testing memorised knowledge, TestAS assesses your academic ability and problem-solving skills — helping German universities compare applicants from different education systems fairly. It's especially valuable for Bachelor's applicants and Studienkolleg admission.
The test is computer-based, available in English and German, and your results do not expire — making it a strong, lasting addition to your university applications.
A strong TestAS score can be the difference that gets your application noticed by top German universities.
Demonstrates your academic aptitude objectively, making your profile stand out to admissions committees.
A good score boosts your odds of securing a place, especially in competitive Bachelor's programs.
Widely accepted and often recommended (or required) by universities and Studienkollegs across Germany.
You can take the entire test in English — ideal for applicants who haven't yet mastered German.
Once you have your score, it stays valid indefinitely — take the test once and use it whenever you apply.
A valuable advantage for admission to foundation courses that bridge Indian schooling to German degrees.
Focused, structured TestAS coaching that builds the exact reasoning and subject skills the test rewards.
Learn proven strategies for every section from trainers who understand the test's reasoning patterns inside out.
Targeted practice for the Core Test and your chosen subject module, so no question type catches you off guard.
Realistic, timed mock tests that mirror the actual exam so you build speed, accuracy, and confidence.
Limited students per batch for personal attention and feedback tailored to your weak areas.
Morning, evening, and weekend batches that fit around your school, college, or work schedule.
TestAS prep connected to your full Germany application — admissions, language, and visa under one roof.
Registering for TestAS is simple and fully online — here's how to do it in four steps.
Register on the official TestAS portal, enter your personal details, and verify your account to get started with the booking process.
Choose your preferred test date and format, pick your test language (English or German), and select the subject module that matches your intended field of study.
Complete your registration by paying the test fee online. Once your payment is confirmed, you’ll receive your booking details and instructions for test day.
Use the time before your exam to practise with mock papers and module-wise drills. German Studio’s coaching ensures you walk in fully prepared to achieve your best score.
TestAS is made up of three parts taken in one sitting — a language check, a general aptitude test, and a subject-specific module.
Durations are indicative and may vary slightly by test version and format. The Language Screening places your level and is not part of the scored aptitude result.
TestAS combines a general aptitude Core Test with a subject module you choose based on your field of study.
Four subtests measuring general reasoning and problem-solving ability
Apply basic maths and logic to solve numerical word problems.
Identify logical relationships and analogies between concepts.
Recognise visual logic and select the piece that completes a pattern.
Detect the rule in a number sequence and continue it correctly.
Choose one module aligned with your intended degree
TestAS is available to Indian students online and, historically, at authorised centres in major cities across the country.
TestAS is offered as a digital, remotely-proctored exam — meaning you can take it from home anywhere in India with a computer and a stable internet connection, without travelling to a centre.
Available cities and formats are subject to change. Always confirm the current test locations and online options on the official TestAS portal before booking.

TestAS (Test for Academic Studies) is a standardised aptitude test for international students applying to German universities. It assesses your general cognitive abilities and subject-specific reasoning rather than memorised knowledge, helping universities fairly compare applicants from different education systems.
TestAS is not always mandatory, but many German universities recommend or require it especially for Bachelor’s programs and Studienkolleg admission. Even where it’s optional, a strong TestAS score significantly strengthens your application and improves your admission chances.
You can take TestAS in either English or German. This makes it accessible to students who have not yet mastered German, as you can complete the entire test in English and still apply to a wide range of programs.
TestAS has three parts taken in one sitting: a Language Screening (around 30 minutes), the Core Test of general cognitive ability (around 110 minutes), and a Subject Module related to your field of study (around 145–150 minutes). The full test takes roughly four hours.
Yes. TestAS is offered as a digital, remotely-proctored exam, so eligible students can take it from home in India with a computer and a stable internet connection. It has also historically been available at authorised centres in major Indian cities.
